IATF 2021 – Delegation visits Microfinish

During the Intra-African Trade Fair (IATF), Suveer Singh hosted a delegation of Automotive industry representatives from Kenya and Germany at Microfinish’s manufacturing facility. The delegation was impressed with the operations and positioning as an export-driven precision component manufacturer.

 

VDA (German Association of the Auto Industry) and AAAM have PREVIOUSLY penned a collaboration agreement to bolster Africa’s Automotive Industrialisation drive.

Commenting on the significance of the visit by the Kenyan delegation led by Ashit Shah (Chairperson of the Auto Chapter of the Kenyan Association of Manufacturers), Dave Coffey the CEO of the African Association of Automotive Manufacturers said, “As AAAM we were delighted to have been able to play a role in facilitating the visits of the Kenyan Automotive Industry Representatives to a number of South African component manufacturers including Microfinish in Durban. It was wonderful see how well received the delegation was and to get such positive feedback about future potential cooperation opportunities between Kenyan and South African automotive component suppliers.”

 

The IATF saw thousands of delegates from across the world descend on Durban, KZN last week with more than R560 billion (USD 35 million) in deal activity concluded.
